Dumb Questions

On my way to Paris, I asked two of my dumbest questions ever (even beating out the great novelty mug incident).

For the first one, I was confused that there were two seat numbers on my boarding pass. I went up to the lady by the gate to ask her about it and she looked at me with a forced sweet look (reminding me of Brian Regan's sketch about airlines) and informed me that there was only one. I was in seat 13A. One of them had the one printed in such a way that it was camouflaged by the box around it.

For the second question, I asked an information lady in the Philly airport where my gate was. After looking at my ticket, she gave me the same look. A26. It was on the boarding pass. Oi vey. That's why I needed to sleep. :P

My sister

I would just like to take this opportunity to pseudo-publicly thank my sister. She is amazing. She is wonderful. Without her, I would not have been able to get packed in time. I certainly wouldn't have passed my cleaning check. All of my stuff would still be in the apartment. I wouldn't have checked out. She has lost a lot of sleep for me the past few days. I love her dearly and owe her my life. Seriously.

On a completely and totally random side note, I had fun chatting with some people from my Syntax class yesterday. One of them had a fantabulously nerdy experience that I felt the need to share. One of the females (a huge fan of Wicked) with some friends when somebody's cell phone went off with Popular as the ring tone. Immediately, alternative lyrics sprang to her mind: Copular. It's all about copular. It's just with the verb to be... and I'll stop there. It made me happy. :)

Please note

If you're in one of the quiet areas of the library, don't sit on your cell phone to talk to your boyfriend. I don't care if you're speaking English or not.

Heh

Tonight I ran into a parking lot barefoot, belatedly realizing that there were bits of broken glass scattered all around. Luckily, I didn't step on any shards, but I was mincing along when one of my friends saw me. When she noticed that I wasn't wearing any shoes, she told me to hop onto her back so she could give me a piggyback ride to my apartment. I thought she was kidding, but when she crouched down I could tell that she was serious. I "gracefully" jumped upon her back and she trotted over to my stairwell where I slid off.

It was fun. It's been a long time since I've gotten a piggyback ride. :)

Shameless Plug

So, does anybody happen to want some canned mushrooms? If so, please let me know ASAP so I can see about getting them to you. :)

I heart friends

So, last night one of my awesome friends helped me carry an obscene amount of books to the library.

After that, I went to and watched the Office and made some new friends.

Also, I've been running into friends all day.

Friends make me happy. :)

Hmmm...

This morning, I awoke early with my carnivorous streak alive. I was craving meat, undeniably so, but I feared that I would not have enough time to fix anything before leaving to help with the French fair (helping to navigate a whole crapload of high school students around the JFSB; joy). Besides, I was running a tad late as it was so even if I got there early enough, I would probably only get a pop tart. Thus, I speed-walked up to campus in the chill morning air, loving the feeling of crisp freshness streaming through my still damp hair.

I arrived on campus a few minutes and asked one of the people running the event where I should go to help with the spelling bee and was informed that I wouldn't be needed for another hour. Oh joy. I could have slept another hour.

The good news was that this meant I had a little more time for breakfast. I headed over to the vending machines, planning on purchasing a my little packet of pop tarts, but then my carnivorous streak reared its head once again. I felt this irrepressible urge to eat meat. Thus, I did the ridiculous and bought a double cheeseburger. At 7:30 am. I felt somewhat feral eating lunch/dinner meat this early, but hey: it was yummy. :)

Note to my friends

If you want to upset me, spitting on me is a good way to do that.

A Couple Things

First: My post yesterday was at least somewhat sarcastic. She was very frustrated and wanted to rip my head off (and anyone who knows her can tell you exactly how serious I'm being), so I was just sharing for a minute.

Second: I was taking a final in the HFAC today when the fire alarm went off. That was exciting. :)

Tangerine hates me. I know it. She even told me herself.

Sigh

My orchestra concert went pretty well. It was fun :)

So, after I got home I noticed that I had a missed call on my phone from a number I didn't recognize. I had only missed them by a few minutes, so I called them back. It turns out that it was a guy in my ward. He was calling to ask me out and I was totally going to say yes (Planetarium show with a random nice guy? Sure!), but then I remembered that I had a monstrous (25-30 page) paper due the next morning. Sigh. So much for that.

Shameless Plug

For anyone interested, symphony orchestra has a concert tomorrow night (April 10) at 7:30 pm in the De Jong. We're playing all Tchaikovsky (except for a Bernstein at the beginning). It will be awesome. You should come.

:)

P.S. It's free.

Hehehe...

It's amazing how much we can miss when we don't pay attention.
It turns out that I know another Board writer. Heh.
